Welcome to the Triangle Vintage Dance Website!Triangle Vintage Dance (TVD) is dedicated to providing Vintage Dance events as well as Waltz events for the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.We also teach a couple of styles of waltz as well as Victorian dances. Vintage Dance refers to dancing of the 1860s to the 1930s. It includes country dances and quadrilles, which are taught and called like contra dances. Vintage Dance also includes couple dances such as Victorian Waltz, Polka, Schottische, and Mazurka, as well as Ragtime One-Step, Foxtrot, Tango, Blues and Charleston. Additionally, TVD promotes Cross-Step Waltz, that originated in the 1930s. No partner required! Cash or checks accepted (Payable to Triangle Vintage Dance), no credit cards at the door.
