Welcome to the Triangle Vintage Dance Website!Triangle Vintage Dance (TVD) is dedicated to providing Vintage Dance events as well as Waltz events for the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.We also teach a couple of styles of waltz as well as Victorian dances. Vintage Dance refers to dancing of the 1860s to the 1930s. It includes country dances and quadrilles, which are taught and called like contra dances. Vintage Dance also includes couple dances such as Victorian Waltz, Polka, Schottische, and Mazurka, as well as Ragtime One-Step, Foxtrot, Tango, Blues and Charleston. Additionally, TVD promotes Cross-Step Waltz, that originated in the 1930s. No partner required!Cape May, NJ Vintage Dance WeekendChris and Dawn will be helping run the Cape May, NJ Vintage Dance Weekend on April 26th-27th. They will teach 3 classes during the day on Saturday, April 26th and then precept the Victorian Ball that Saturday evening.
